A data acquisition system (DAS) is hardware and software that collects, conditions, digitizes, and processes signals from sensors or RF sources for analysis and storage. In flight test applications, a DAS such as Lumistar's LS-28-DRSM or LS-68 Series receives telemetry signals, demodulates PCM data streams, synchronizes frames, and distributes data in real time over Ethernet or archives it for post-mission review.

The LS-28-DRSM provides 64 GB of solid-state NAND flash per channel, supporting approximately 19 hours of recording at 8 Mbps per channel. The LS-29-R2 RF Recording System offers up to 16 TB of solid-state removable storage operating at 6 GB/sec, suitable for extended RF waveform capture across up to four channels simultaneously.
