Optional FEC encoding includes Viterbi, LDPC, Convolutional R1/2, and Reed-Solomon coding schemes.

They also meet ARTM Tier 0, Tier 1, and Tier 2 standards, making them suitable for use on federally licensed test ranges and in programs requiring strict telemetry standards compliance.

Lumistar test transmitters offer multiple control interfaces including USB 2.0 and RS232 serial ports with simultaneous operation capability, as well as Ethernet (TCP/IP) control using Lumistar's proprietary software application. The baud rate is software-selectable, defaulting to 57.6 KBaud, and custom configurations such as RS422 data input can be specified at time of purchase.
