Telemetry transmission is the process of wirelessly sending measurement or instrumentation data from a source — such as an aircraft or test vehicle — to a remote ground station for monitoring and analysis. Forward Error Correction (FEC) encoding reduces data transmission errors by adding redundancy to the transmitted signal.
