Lumistar is proud to have participated in the recent flight test of Virgin Orbit’s first launch demo mission of Launcher One on Monday May 25, 2020. Lumistar’s LS-28-DRSM series of Telemetry Receiving/Processing and Data Recording gear was employed during the mission. As Virgin Orbit CEO Dan Hart has stated: “As we’ve delved into the data from yesterday’s flight, the more we see, the happier we get” and “We have solid data from hundreds of channels and sensors”….Lumistar’s gear was responsible for providing the data from Launcher One to the VO engineers for real time viewing and post-mission analysis. As Mark McWhorter, Lumistar’s VP of Sales & Marketing mentioned after the Test: “Lumistar engineers and support staff have historically provided hundreds of hours of assistance working with the Virgin Orbit engineering team. We are pleased to be a partner in their success”.
