Dear Valued Customers, Vendors and Sales Partners /
During the unprecedented circumstances and difficulties caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, Lumistar first
and foremost would like to convey its utmost wishes for the health and safety of you and your loved ones.
Let’s all be safe out there! We’ll get through this.
On March 19, 2020, California Governor Gavin Newsom issued a “Stay at Home” order requiring all nonessential businesses to cease operations. The Governor’s order has also listed exemptions for
businesses as identified by the Undersecretary of Defense, as part of the Critical Infrastructure Sectors by
the Department of Homeland Security.
Lumistar is currently executing on several “Rated” contracts, which require prioritization deemed essential
to the Defense of the United States. Lumistar is identified under the “Defense Industrial Base
Sector” and is therefore maintaining operations to be compliant with this directive. In fact, Lumistar is a
small company with a relatively large facility, so it can be said that even during routine times we practice
“social distancing”. If you take a walk through our facility, you can see we are normally spread out over
large distances. And we have several employees who work from home 24/7/365. Those who can have
done so.
Under the new directive, and until further notice, Lumistar will remain open and maintain its normal
operations to the fullest extent possible.
Lumistar kindly requests vendors and customers to please make appointments for deliveries and visits to
the Lumistar facility in Carlsbad, CA. We will follow all CDC guidelines including, but not limited to, Social
Distancing while at Lumistar. We will send updates if there are any changes to our working hours. Please
do not hesitate to contact us with any questions or concerns.
